If Obama had done this, Christians would be up in arms. But that would be because it would feed and further support their inner narrative that Obama was bad. Since their inner narrative is that Trump is good for this country and Christians and all too many pastors have preached this from the pulpit, than they defend these actions. It was surprising how many defended Trump's AI image of himself as Christ (now to be fair many, many also criticized it). I feel that too many in our church are drifting toward looking for a man to be their savior, instead of Christ. I only see it getting worse unless we stop worrying about the world and stand on truth.
