Renewed fighting tests Gaza ceasefire and Israel briefly halts aid
“A little over a week has passed since the start of the U.S.-proposed ceasefire aimed at ending two years of war. U.S. President Donald Trump said the ceasefire remained in place and ‘we want to make sure it’s going to be very peaceful.’” - RNS

Hamas uses the "ceasefire" to commit crimes against their political opponents and attack Israel. It strikes me that some movements--Hamas, the neo-Soviet project of Putin, Communism in general, etc..--cannot be negotiated with. They must be crushed so that those around say "we really don't want to go through that again."

In the long run, everybody is better off if there is no longer any Hamas. I’d be happy to see that happen. The problem is the high price of getting that done. A whole year of fighting, and thousands of Israelis dead. It’s hard to tell the families and friends that it’s worth it, when I don’t even live there. But it sort of reminds me of fighting cancer, only on a national scale. So chemotherapy does a lot of damage to you while saving your life from cancer… if it works. Being rid of Hamas seems like that kind of scenario.

....is to remember that Hamas and Hezbollah get their weapons from Iran, and Iran's chief supporter in the world is Russia. So if you want to weaken and destroy Hamas and Hezbollah, you do the 1980s Reagan plan with Russia and Iran--strict export controls, isolation, etc.. When other nations--say those in Western Europe--object, you simply ask whether they meant it when they said "never again", or whether they really meant "never mind."
I personally cannot imagine being a man involved in the export of weapons systems to Hamas and Hezbollah, knowing full well that they would be used against civilians without provocation. Where are their souls?
