Newfirearms were definitely…

firearms were definitely more available to kids when I was younger. When I was younger, in rural Wisconsin during deer hunting season, it was not uncommon (nor against the law) to have your hunting rifles in a gun rack inside of the cabin of your truck. The school parking lot was full of kids trucks with hunting rifles visibly showing.

With that said, we live in a different world. We have always had firearms around our house, always stored in cases and unloaded. In the last few years, I have kept my firearms secured in a large safe where I have secured the code.

NewLots of likely issues

Mon, 12/23/24

Probably a bunch of things need to be investigated--family breakdown, psychotropics, discipline, school security, etc..--but one thing I remember from my childhood is something that I'm told doesn't happen much anymore. Specifically, when a student acted up in certain ways, teachers (especially the male teachers) would step in and physically remove that student to the principal's office. Now they're afraid of being sued. Don't know what portion of the issue is "kids who never learned that they will be stopped if they misbehave", but I'd guess it's some of the issue.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
