This is one of the worst articles I have read in a long time. While we all know Iran is looking to destroy Israel in non-direct ways, Iran's response was not specifically to that. It was to the bombing of an Iranian consular building within the embassy compound, what some consider outside established diplomatic protocols and what most countries considered part of the sovereign state. The response was fairly muted because while it looked flashy so much notice was given to all countries.
With that said, it is easy to look at Iran as evil and against God, but come on. Israel has rejected Christ. Israel loves the same darkness that Dennison quotes in Scripture. And for many people around the world, they also see Israel as what Dennison equates to Iran - , "strive to enact their deluded vision of the future through violent means". Why do we equate the Israel of today to some type of theocracy set in the time of Joshua? Sloppy, sloppy theology.
