Southern Baptist Preacher Affirms Polyamory (Interview with Rev. Dr. Jeff Hood)

CM: As a pastor, what kind of responses have you received for your affirmation of polyamory?

JH: The only people who have responded negatively are church a**holes that have no knowledge of God.

CM: Any more-positive responses from the church world?

JH: No.

Does he pastor a church? Or “at large” (like Pluto isn’t a planet!)

On the occasion of his tenth anniversary in ministry, the small house church Dr. Hood pastors in Fort Worth collectively reaffirmed his ordination.

“I can hear the cuckoo singing in the cuckoo berry tree….”

…but incest. Think about it; the Trinity is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So if it’s polyamorous, it’s incestuous, too. Somehow the movie “Deliverance” comes to mind as appropriate to his “theology”.

And interestingly, his bios reference only one wife. It is as if she said “you can preach this all you want, but bring it home, and you’re going to get an object lesson in Matthew 19:12 and Galatians 5:12.”

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.

The interview I would love to see:

“Dr.” Hood also views himself as queer, which has to go over like a lead balloon.
