I have been teaching the abortion controversy to college students for about fifteen years … Below are ten of the worst, yet most popular, “arguments” in defense of abortion that I have encountered.

Each of the ten bad arguments really amounts to “life is unfair, so why not let the baby atone for that unfairness with its life?” His citation of Swift’s dictum that you cannot use logic to persuade someone out of a position that he hadn’t used logic to get to is well taken.
