Looking for Small group studies that have gone over well
Our church is going into Summer #2 of using small groups as a primary place of discipleship and practicing the “one-anothers” of scripture. We did Jerry Bridges’ The Practice of Godliness last Summer and it went really well. I wanted to see what other churches have used that were good studies. I’m looking at two other Bridges’ books Respectable Sins and Trusting God. I’ve also considered some of the Lifeway small groups studies. What have you guys used that was helpful and really encouraged your people to open up, grow in their faith and get them into the Word each week?
Paul
I have used a number of Bridges books for small groups, including adult Sunday School. They have all been good. Respectable Sins was possible the best.
Why is it that my voice always seems to be loudest when I am saying the dumbest things?
I don’t know what kind of groups you have, but some other books that I have found useful for those with with/working with children are Heart of Anger, Teach Them Diligently and Age of Opportunity.
