On eve of mail fraud trial, demonstrators show support for Hovind
OK … thanks for getting my head right about this

Wow I didn’t know that about PCC. That’s a pretty bad testimony when it is recognized to that degree.
Bad testimony? She did what was legal and right.
I’m saying it is a bad testimony when a local Christian college won’t even let its students work there. I meant on Hovind’s part.

From Jim’s 2nd link (above):
“Even after losing his appeal in the Eleventh Circuit and being turned down by the Supreme Court Kent Hovind continued to believe that his conviction could be overturned.”
So the U.S. Court of Appeals refused to overturn his conviction, and then SCOTUS refused to even hear the case—but Hovind still was optimistic, eh? Sure, hey, why not? =)

“[Kent] asked God to move the jurors hearts to acquit both him and Hansen, noting that this is a real opportunity for God to show his power. He closed rather touchingly noting that God is his daddy and he needs him to deal with the bullies who are picking on him.” (In a telephone call.)
“[T] he closing statements of Hovind and Hansen’s attorneys portrayed them as stubborn guys who got really bad legal advice but certainly were not knowingly breaking any laws.”
My dad always said that if I went to jail he would not bail me out. Apparently God has the same policy with Hovind.

“At 11:09 a.m. the jury in the trial of Kent Hovind returned their verdict convicting Hovind on one of four counts he was facing, and his co-defendant Paul John Hansen on two of five.
Hovind was found guilty of contempt for filing paperwork disputing the government’s right to sell his property. The jury was unable to agree on the three other charges Hovind was facing.
Sentencing has been set for June 12.”
Guilty of contempt = a victory for Hovind?
- He may be out of jail sooner than later!
