Is the Gospel Coalition on its way down?

With Harris, Mahaney, Driscoll, and Tchividjian’s disenchantmentm, one might conclude that the Gospel Coalition is more about bad news than good news.

What are your thoughts? Is this simply a ripple or are the foundations beginning to crumble?

Discussion

What, precisely, would we be missing if TGC disappeared tomorrow? Other than perhaps hosting conferences and providing a blogging platform for a lot of high profile folks, what does it actually accomplish? In other words, why should we even care if TGC disappeared?

I am being serious. I’m not trying to be rude or snide.

Tyler is a pastor in Olympia, WA and works in State government.

I can only answer that question for myself but I find there to be a helpful collection of resources on their website. Granted most of it would still be available but it would be harder to track down.

Their web site (and conference, the one time I attended) are/were tremendously helpful to me.
