Michelle Duggar is trying to get pregnant again with her 20th child.

Easton, nothing has ever been said by me to suggest that a smaller family is sin. To not further entangle myself in the nonsense you are saying, I bow out.

1 Kings 8:60 - so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other.

Glad you didn’t say “…bow out, gracefully”. BTW, they are of course a “freak show”. Nineteen, going for twenty? Yep, freak show.

Jeff, which of their children should they not have? What number is acceptable to not be a freak show?

1 Kings 8:60 - so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other.

If we posit, all children are conceived or not by an act of God. It’s God’s decision and plan, no matter how much fun Jim Bob and Michelle have in trying, if there will be a 20th Duggar or not.

Hoping to shed more light than heat..

But Rob, they are freaks apparently because they aren’t trying to stop what only God can do.

God can just as easily not give them number 20. James, please understand, my wife and I were married when we were 38. In the fleeting window we had, God did not give us one or more children.

“Once [Christian] couples get their 1 or 2 children, it is time to shut off blessings from God.

Their attitude is that, if they even have kids, it is to have their 1 or 2. Their culturally, rather than biblically, informed view is that a large family would be bad.

…if a couple shuts off reproductive capabilities, they are cutting off blessings from God. As you say, that is your choice. I am sure the additional trips going out to eat are equivalent blessings. Of course this offends people. Your cultural view is not biblically informed.”

Yes Easton, Christian limit many kinds of blessings in their lives. Does that make it sin? I didn’t say that. You read into it for reasons I could only guess but would rather not.

1 Kings 8:60 - so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other.

James K (comments above, emphasis mine) —“Unless you can post some scripture of biblical rationale, I am done. Have at it.

“To not further entangle myself in the nonsense you are saying, I bow out.”

But — you are back, James K - not once, but twice.

I can only guess the reason(s) for your multiple returns.

But, I would rather not.
