"'…entering into the wilderness with Jesus'? What does that mean and where has God revealed that it is His will for us to enter such?"
Bad article at TGC (not surprising at all, TGC tolerates, in fact rewards, bad hermeneutics and theology far too often in the name if sincerity and the novel). As the author of the response cites it misses the purpose of the event. It is not some formula for us to do, rather Christ is doing the doing for us that we may rest in his work. This event is the work of deliverance and victory for us by Christ completed on the cross and with his resurrection.
It does nit mean we cannot identify elements or principles which inform us but as article at TGC treats it, it is not a formula nor should be treated as such to be closer to God it make someone grow.
