Titus 2:11-13

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.

The Methodist commentator omits from his response that he believes (or at least his denomination insists) that at some point, a genuine Christian's failure to pursue holiness sufficiently results in the loss of salvation.  Seems to me that necessarily makes his take on the holiness/grace discussion less appropriate as a counterpoint; he's not necessarily comparing apples to apples.

Why I love Titus 2.11-13 so much.

The salvation-bringing grace of God teaches us what we must "deny" and what sort of life we ought to strive to live.
