Colossians 2:16: Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.
As long as Christ is the center of your thought life, don’t worry about it. You can practice it in good conscience.

I would say that a Christian should not participate in the pagan worship-mental aspect of Yoga, just as the Karate student should not participate in the pagan-worship/acknowledgment/ bowing to the room aspect either.
I know a strong Christian Pentecostal Evangelist who had his 3rd degree black belt and was working on his fourth degree back in 1991. I would not recommend either Yoga or Karate for a weak-minded or new Christian.
