House Church Attendance Marginal, Survey Reveals

Article in the Christian Post

So what is the article saying? The headline says attendance is marginal, but the story seems to imply it is a large movement.

I had heard that it was petering out, and that “house church” attenders are usually only temporary. As far as Barna goes, I think David Wells is right is saying that “Barna has documented his own failure.”

His solution back in the early/mid 90’s was the Seeker Sensitive Church, and then he documents how attenders of such churches don’t know anything and haven’t really embraced Christian doctrine. My respect for Barna has really taken a dive. It’s like, “what next?” Anything but Bible-oriented local churches, it seems.

BTW, Greg, your “eye” photo is cool.
