Comparing Fundy and Conservative Evangelical Pulpits

Is it just me or are the CEs producing more top of the line, expository teachers? I’m in a IFB church yet I usually find the Lutzers, Swindolls, Stanleys, Jeremiahs more engaging, more stimulating. Here locally, the largest churches are CE with exceptionally good teaching.
Now with itinerant evangelists I see perhaps the opposite. We fundys have a goodly number of on fire, energetic, godly speakers both young and established. After hearing them you know you have been to church.
Are IFB schools turning out expositors as they might? I refer to deep, Dallas Theol. Seminary-type exposition (Lutzer, Swindoll went there I know).

Hoping to shed more light than heat..
Certainly there has to be some substance amongst all that hollering, shouting, spitting, slobbering, throwing down microphone stands, and generally throwing a temper tantrum!!!!

Seems they like many Fundy preachers are good at “Preaching Against” but never “Preach For” anything.
I’ve tried it, it’s fun and easy to get up and go off. But lasting fruit comes from preaching the Word, and that requires study.

Would most people consider Swindoll a “deep expository preacher”? He is typically known for his communication ability and his story telling (both of which he is great at).
I think schools like Detroit, Central, and BJU are turning out expository preachers. They certainly turned out people like Minnick, Doran, and a number of others. They probably won’t get the publicity of people like you mention, but that doesn’t detract from their preaching, nor from the training they received.

Right or wrong would the typical mind set of the F pulpit be different? IMO the CE generally have a more diversified offering of sermon topics.

Ray, your problem is you are conflating two separate streams of Fundamental Baptists. Those you describe have their roots (two if not three generations back) in the SBC. There is a whole slew of men Minnick, Bauder, Innes, et. al whose roots are in the Northern Baptist movement (again two if not three generations back). By conflating the two, you make your point irrelevant.
