How could so many church leaders be easily misled, and continue to add to the deception, leading many people, even Christians into the world of Mysticism ….

I don’t believe in Revivalism as it is usually practiced, and I would agree that some trappings of revival-type meetings have a mystical element. Can’t say I’ve ever seen the occult or demonic manifestations in any IFB church I’ve ever visited or attended.
Because we probably have different ideas of what mysticism is, what do you believe it is?
I think what most would say is wrong with mysticism is it leaves our lives very subjective. And objective truth, the Bible, is often put in second place.

Mysticism is complex, and not easy to define in just one or two sentences. Mysticism will mean different things to different people. Some people actually think that Mysticism is a part of the Bible and Christianity, but this is not true.

One reason why Mysticism is not compatible with Christianity is that within Mysticism, it is taught that God is already inside of everyone. This is often referred to as the spark of divinity, or the inner light, of the divine within us.
One of the goals of practicing Mysticism is to empty your mind, and search out that inner divine essence, and discover the god within you.
This false teaching within Mysticism leads people to believe that there are many pathways leading to God, which is a lie from the Father of Lies (Satan), and not in line with the teachings from the Word of God (the Bible).

It would probably be easier to define what mysitcism is not - rather than what it is. To a Christian, mysticism I think would be any miraculous or supernatural event, that is not of God?
