Church Brochures, Any Suggestions?
Forum category
I am currently redesigning our church brochure and am wondering if anyone has a printing or design company that they’ve used in the past and would recommend. We want to be able to use our own photos, not some stock stuff, and we’d prefer to work with a Christian company that understands the nature of what the church is trying to accomplish.

The last several print jobs we’ve had for church and/or the Pregnancy Resource Center with which we work were done by a local print company. They gave us the best prices, and there is great value in working with someone local with whom you can meet face-to-face to answer questions or work out details. In the print jobs I’ve done, I’ve never run into a bias that has prevented a secular printing company from being able to produce quality marketing materials. We did do all the design work ourselves. I’ve attached our brochure. (It’s laid out the way it’s folded, so the first page is the outside, with the front cover on the right.)
I’d recommend getting prices from local places and then comparing the price & quality to what you can get online. The cheapest place online tends to be vistaprint.com, but their quality is mid-range.

Just have a first class website and a nice business card with the web address on the b/c
Why?
Why?
- You’ll save yourself http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bookoo] bookoo bucks
- You can change all kinds of things at church (service times, etc) that won’t obsolete a brochure (just update the website!)
- Who really reads those brochures anyway?!
Coming in a little late in the conversation, but perhaps this may be of benefit to someone in the forum. :)
My wife does all of our graphic design, but we have prayer cards printed at www.gotprint.com] www.GotPrint.com . The quality is excellent, and their prices are very reasonable. I’ve never priced their brochures, but I know they do them. They make no claim to be a Christian company, but we went there because they came highly recommended by other ministries. Pricewise, they were by far the most reasonable we found.
The last brochures we did were printed at Office Depot. Doing this in smaller increments meant that we had less “obsolete” brochures to deal with correcting, and gave me the opportunity to explain to the friendly clerk what our ministry was about. You can look at our brochure if you’d like on our website by clicking the following link: http://www.antworxstudios.com/wales/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Why-Wale…] www.whywales.org .
The website idea is also great, provided it’s updated regularly. Again feel free to visit our website at www.whywales.org] www.whywales.org .

Our church has used printrunner.com to print attractive but cheap postcards with a quick turnaround.
