"The Palestinians in Israel are forgotten"

This article is ridiculous. Certainly the Israelis are not without fault, but much more blame should fall on the Palestinians and the greater Arab world. The Palestinian refugee crisis was instigated by Arab nations attacking innocent Israeli civilians in a genocidal manner. Israel, rather than aiming at mass murder of Arab residents in return, gave the Arabs a chance to flee. There are many cases where they were were encouraged to leave by their own Arab leaders when Israel was not forcing them out. The United Nations definition of a Palestinian refugee is different than their definitions for all other refugees in the world. The Palestinian refugee criteria is much more inclusive, as they have their own refugee agency compared to the one refugee agency that all other refugees in the world must share. The Palestinian refugee ‘crisis” could have been resolved long ago, but Arab leaders are reluctant to assist the resolution because they make an excellent public sympathy tool that is recycled over and over again in articles such as this. Read “The Case For Israel” by Alan Dershowitz for more on this subject. Though a little bit dated now, it serves as an excellent history lesson that helps to sift between rhetoric and reality.
