Has the binding of Satan spoken of in Revelation 20:1-3 already taken place?

Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Has this binding of Satan already taken place? If so, when did it take place and what does it mean that he has been bound in this way?

I am unapologetically premillennial in my eschatology. I do not believe that the binding of Satan that is spoken of in Rev. 20:1-3 has already taken place.
Having recently been exposed elsewhere to the views of several people who are amillennial, I would like to know more about how prevalent such views are about Satan’s already having been bound in that way.

But I doubt this site is a good representation of Christianity at large. My guess is that most here (70%?) are premil. I would guess those numbers would be reversed if you polled a group life TGC. There seems to be an age difference as well.

Interesting. I did not know what the prevailing view on SI would be. Based on the responses so far, it seems you may be right.
