Army objects to biblical reference on weapons scopes

The only real issue I see here is that they are modifying serial numbers, that doesn’t seem ethical or wise. To me that is less then ethical, but the military has every right to not want Christian insignia on their weapons.

I appreciate what Trijicon is trying to do with their scopes, but I do think this was putting soldiers at risk. The Taliban had gotten wind of these rifles in Afghanistan and used it as a recruiting tool. We really have to avoid the appearance of a religious war in the Middle East.

Additionally I don’t like using scripture as if it were a good luck charm.

This sums it up to me. I wonder how many soldiers ever looked up the verse?

Rev 3:11a would have been a better choice, especially given the nature of a bullet in transit to the target. No context, but when has that stopped anybody!?
