Tim Tebow: Passing Out Truth

Forum category
NFL QB Tim Tebow and his Denver Broncos upset the league’s best defensive team Sunday, the Steelers, 29-23. God seems to be blessing his faithful witness. After the game Tim thanked his Lord and Savior for His role in the win. With all the worldly talk I appreciate this bold, godly, role model for younger athletes and all believers.

Do you think this will embolden other athletes and believers to speak out?

Is there a message for us in this?

Always curious when I see things like this. Will God still be blessing him if they loose to the Pats this weekend, or is his witness suddenly fading?

Why is it that my voice always seems to be loudest when I am saying the dumbest things?

From the NT we know that while God was always with His disciples, they did not always “win.” In Acts for example, Paul and others logged some jail time. Had God forsaken them? God works through trials as well as worldly successes. The world needs to see our joy in the hard times as much as when we are winning. Any one can smile when the sun is shining.

Exactly Fred. So why do you assume Tebow is being blessed because he is winning?

Because his sphere of influence across the nation has been greatly enlarged thru this! Don’t you also hope Chip, that many other athletes including HS and collegians follow his bold example? Is not God using this to show how one guy can serve Jesus. The spiritual view is of course more important than Super Bowl rings.
