NewStealing Money from Church

Tue, 08/09/11
Some years ago Chuck Swindoll observed that the pastor “should have the key to everything inside the church except the safe.” Wise advice that. In the system I work under the pastor has absolutely no involovement with the finances of the church, unless I ask questions at a business meeting. Sadly, this system can be easily abused.

NewHaving served as a Treasurer for three organizations

Having served as a Treasurer for three organizations:

  1. A state association of churches
  2. A homeowners’ association AND
  3. A local church
This is a major error - never do this!

Treasurer wrote checks without filling out to whom the checks were going
