  • Seems like “soviet-style crackdown” is gross hyperbole

  • If you Google Lake Worth Florida Churches …. well there are a bunch of them …. so if this what oppression looks like, maybe we need more of it!

  • Also seems like it is a basic zoning issue with an overzealous city worker.

NewThe question is how many

Fri, 03/06/15

The question is how many times will they cry wolf before no one listens any more. I started ignoring these “persecution” stories a while back.

NewThe real issue....

Mon, 03/09/15

While Starnes might be a muckraker of sorts and “Soviet-Style” is a bit hyperbolic, it is dangerous for us to just shrug off this kind of stuff. When a local government sends people undercover into a religious service to file a report on said activities of a church, then we should take note and have concern. This is NOT the role of government and it should NOT be tolerated. I’m actually acquainted with this town, church and pastor and there is a lot of hostility in that part of the world against evangelical Christianity and this pastor is a decent man with an infant church that is doing a good work. We ought not roll our eyes at the messenger and should look carefully at the real issue — government interference in a church ministry.
