"I'll Never Change (my Doctrinal Beliefs)"

Was at a self-described fundamentalist’s personal website, and in the Doctrinal/Statement of Faith area, after various statements regarding belief and practice, (many with which I would agree) the author penned words to this effect: “Here I Stand. By God’s grace I’ll never change!” (If you google it, IDC…but that isn’t the point—keep the person out of it—address the idea expressed please.)

Is this how we are to approach the matters of fide and praxis?

What is right with it? What is wrong with it?

Would we not want to be state our resoluteness to biblical faith and practice in a different way?

Thoughts please.

Discussion

I think much of the language of Scripture encourages us to be “fully persuaded” (Romans 14:5) and to “stand fast” (1Cor. 16:13, 2Thes. 2:15). However, I would agree that we should be careful about what it is we are convinced should be militantly defended.
