I am a student at CLI, and the classes are quality. As far as being reformed, I have not noticed any emphasis on reformed theology, and i am pretty sure they identified themselves as non-denominational. They depend upon donations to keep afloat, and fees for official degrees and diplomas. The first required class you take explains all the details, but basically all the classes are free after you complete the first class for free. You have to complete the first course within a certain time frame. I believe it is 180 days to get the rest of the classes.This explains the mission of CLI and very clear directions. This is like a “weed out” class. It will take you a few hours to complete. You can print out certificates for free, but if you want more quality certificates mailed to you, there is around 50 dollar fee. I donate monthly to their cause, and I am taking all the classes for free, and then when I complete all the classes, I plan to pay the fees for the Bachelor’s degree, which should cost me around 900 bucks, since I already have a bachelor’s degree. If you plan to do the same, and you don’t have at least an Associates degree, then you would have to pay around 900 for the Associates degree, and when you complete the courses for the Bachelors, then you pay around 900 bucks for the bachelor’s. These fees are in order to maintain records of your degree, etc. If you don’t plan on getting a degree, then you can basically take all the classes free, and print your own certificates for free. Bottom line, good education for free, but if you want the official certificates, it will cost you a little money, but no where close to costs of other higher education schools. I tried out NationsUniversity also, and originally it was free, but the classes I took there were just reading material and taking tests, required a proctor at times, and now it costs about 80 bucks a month. CLI, so far, I have found is far superior, because it has videos, and reading material, no proctor required, easy navigation, and no payment up front. I have taken courses with Liberty Home Bible Institute, SES lay institute, Moody Bible Institute (AM Bible Software), and Logos Bible Software mobile education, and So Far I rate CLI the best value for cost and quality.
