Jim, I appreciate your noting the references to “risk management” in the FBCH web page. I have noticed that, too, and do not think that it is getting enough attention.
Tying the investigation to risk management does not really fit the circumstances, and it sounds artificial. Further, it sends the wrong message, suggesting that the focus is more about limiting the fallout for FBCH.
I have more thoughts on this, but I will leave them for my blog rather than try to shoehorn them into a comment.
As the quantity of communication increases, so does its quality decline; and the most important sign of this is that it is no longer acceptable to say so.--RScruton
