Subject: Prayer Alert

I am just home from Albany Medical Center where Carly Sinnott, a high school Junior at Mekeel Christian Academy was pronounced dead after falling 50 feet at the Plotterkill Preserve this evening. Carly, her boyfriend, Matt, and Matt’s sister were hiking together when this devastating accident took place. Matt and his sister are ok physically but crushed by Carly’s accident and passing.

Carly was a sweet young lady who was easy to like and was liked by everybody. I was just telling her and Matt how great they looked for the Junior/Senior Banquet last Friday night. The day before that, Carly sang at the National Day of prayer ceremony in downtown Schenectady.

A couple hours from now I have to head over to the school to help prepare to minister to students and parents all day. 7 other area Pastors will join me in helping to minister. This will be a tough day at the school.

Please pray for God’s grace and his comfort upon the Sinnott family, upon Matt’s family, the Meisenholder family, and upon the student body. My Kyla is bawling as I write.

Sincerely,

Pastor Joe Roof

I just saw this and want to thank you for publishing this prayer need. Yesterday was a day of tremendous grief covered by marvelous grace. I will let the school family know of your prayers and I can assure you that they are greatly appreciated by all of us.
