This moves me to thank God for faithful pastors and elders who are willing to patiently disciple others and speak the truth in love and boldness. I’m also thankful for the power of the Word to lead people into truth.

Calvinist or not, I have to salute any pastor with the guts to say “look and see” instead of “here’s what you can do for me”. And hats off to you, John, for reading the Institutes. I managed to do that a few years back, am trying to go through again, and it is just plain dense writing. Still not quite sure I get it.

I’ve been out of the country for a couple of weeks, and am just now catching up on your last two chapters. What a wonderful account of God’s grace and long suffering. I am rejoicing in this account of God’s mercy, and thank you for communicating your story so clearly, and in such helpful detail.

God is indeed gracious and long suffering towards all His children. That reality should cause us to desire to pursue holiness for God’s glory out of thankfulness for His love and mercy.

Hey John, A lot of things came up my direction and I missed out on the last couple “episides” of your blog posts. Are those going to be available again at some point? The links seem to be dead.

Yes, the link is dead. Lord willing, they will be available in the future, but not on my blog. It’s too soon to make any official announcements, but I’m working on turning them into a book with an editorial team at a publishing house. In fact, I’m anxiously waiting to hear the final word of “yay” or “nay” from the publication committee. I’m sorry that you didn’t get to finish them before I took them down.
