Central announces the 2014 MacDonald Lectures Series: "Standing Firm"
I thought I would pass on the date as
Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (CST)
Plymouth, MN
I had to go to the registration page to find that information. This is the second time within a year that I had to go to the registration page to find out when and where an event was being held. I think the other event was in IA, so this is not just a Central thing :). Usually the info can be found on the registration page however. I hope this helps others who were having trouble finding out when and where it was. This looks like a great event and I was hoping to be there. Unfortunately I may have a conflict that day. I will have to see what I can do with my schedule. Dr. Bauder has done much research in this area and I am looking forward to learning more from him.

Anyone know if the audio is up yet? I didn’t see it on the website.
I went to the conference. It was very good. Dr. Bauder focused on the history of Northern Fundamentalists, from the origins of liberalism up to about the 1950s. The last session, where he briefly delineated the four strands of fundamentalism today, was very enlightening and was a good framework to understanding the different flavors of fundamentalism today. It gives historical context to the movement. They said they’d have the audio and PowerPoints up by the end of last week, but they aren’t there yet. But, they do plan to post them.

Thanks Tyler!
