Ron Bean in ER

Forum category

Pray for my elder, and SI member Ron Bean. He was just admitted to the ER with some kind of blood clot. Thanks.

From Ron:

Thanks for praying. I’m in Potomac Hospital with some blood clots in my swollen left leg, the result of 30+ hours in the car over the last 2 weeks. Some of those clots have moved to my lungs (pulmonary emboli are the words of the day). I’m on blood thinners and being carefully monitored and should be released Monday, Lord willing. Other than this hospital gown I’m wearing, I feel fine.”

Ron was released from the hospital today. He’s in characteristically good spirits, and hoping to be back to work in a week.

Apart from my visit from Himmler and threats of “exposure” (the hospital gown pictures), I’m doing fine. My thanks to all my friends who prayed for me and kept me smiling and to the God of Grace for his care. It was an eventful weekend that started with a doctor visit for a swollen leg and wound up with the discovery of blood clots in both lungs. I’m home and on blood thinners and have much for which to thank God.

-My doctor who thought it would be a good idea to have my lungs checked out.

-Three clots that stopped in my lungs and didn’t go any further.

-Opportunities to speak of God’s Grace and comfort to others (including a new age hospital chaplain).

-A great church that prayed for me and stood by with offers of assistance.

-A church with elders.

-And a wife who is better than I deserve.

Ron, so glad to hear you are on the mend!

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
