John MacArthur: Christianity that’s inoffensive is not Christianity

As I listened to this interview, I wanted to stand and cheer! Thanks Dr. MacArthur for your clear, bold, and uncompromising declaration of and defense of the Gospel!

As I listened to this interview, I wanted to stand and cheer! Thanks Dr. MacArthur for your clear, bold, and uncompromising declaration of and defense of the Gospel!

Let’s all remember this … the next time the FBFI attacks him (he’s their favorite whipping boy)

Wally, who has SI “whipped” to the extent that the the FBFI has whipped JM over the years? Anyone close?

"Some things are of that nature as to make one's fancy chuckle, while his heart doth ache." John Bunyan

and now it is time to go back and be re-marinated in the gospel of Isaiah. What a faithful presentation of truth this was, and also an indicator of the nature of the battle in which we engage. It is spiritual, and the eyes of the blind must be opened, whether that one be an orthodox Jew or a neighborhood friend who coaches juniors ball team. I am invigorated for proclaiming the good news on Sunday.

I for one appreciate Dr. John MacArthur and I know a number of men on the FBFI board who do. I do not recall any negative remarks made about JM by our current president, and I rarely remember any by Dr. John Vaughn. Decades ago under Rod Bell JM took some hits by leaders in the FBF. The attacks on the blood issue were misinformed in my opinion. Some Fundamentalists were clearly wrong on the sacramentarian view of the blood and on the Lordship issue too. JM taught against the sacramentarian view of the blood. Good for him. However, all that was a long time ago. The men responsible for that are now dead. JM did a fabulous job in this interview. Like Jim Welch, I wanted to stand up and clap. I told my entire church about this interview and encouraged them to watch it. The FBFI doctrinal statement now defines the meaning of the blood of Christ as his sacrificial death. JM would agree. Our doctrinal statement is also pro Lordship and pro repentance.
