1. The magazine business as a whole has been drying up-it was bad timing. Most people forage for news, or they go to sites like drudgereport or news.yahoo or news.google that present links to articles. I don’t personally think an online magazine will be that successful since most content that readers read online isn’t accessed at the publisher’s site but through other sights that provide an amalgamation of links to articles.
2. The Purpose Driven Life thing was a fad. I’m sure it did some spiritual good for many, but most people have moved on.
