Your teaching is becoming wooden and fruitless. There is a certain point where one’s work output declines in quantity and quality when one works too hard. Varies by person, but as a rule, when you get beyond 45-50 hours per week for mentally strenuous work, you actually get less done. Along the same lines, a lot of my best insights at work and elsewhere come when I’m resting, showering, exercising, and the like.
Or, put in the words of a former pastor of mine, “Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is to take a nap.” Be spiritual!
