It’s good to see the SBC start to say “our club, our rules”. Granted, the convictions are older, but one pastor’s appeal of his sentence does indicate that he didn’t view what he did as “that bad”. There are great places for sex offenders to serve in the church, but “in the pulpit” and “with children” are not among them, especially given that at least one offender was convicted for crimes committed as a pastor.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
