It strikes me that if Driscoll actually talked about getting “hate mail” from Rick Warren, maybe that was a “tell” that he had some big issues. As a rule, the warnings many (myself included) issue from time to time are not hate mail. They are sincerely held beliefs that there is something a bit wrong with one’s ministry. Assuming that it’s hate mail is a flaw in the person’s theology.

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
