Starting this morning, members should see a new option in threads just about the Save button…. it may be collapsed in a heading labeled “Notifications.”
The new option is a checkbox labeled Save without sending email notification.
The purpose is to allow you to edit your post without sending a new email out (to subscribers) for each edit. Since lots of folks follow threads via email, please don’t use this feature when you create a new post. In some cases, if your edits to your post are extensive, you may want to go ahead and allow the email notification. Up to you to decide when to use it on edits.
This should make subscribing to threads via email a more pleasant experience.
