Dispensationalism in Baptist History?

I was curious as to when and how has Dispensationalism come into Baptist churches? Any recommendations to study this futher?

Just picked up a book today

Just picked up a book today with a section on Dispensationalism in the church. Mal Couch's An Introduction to Classical Evangelical Hermeneutics published by Kregel.

I just started reading This World is Not My Home: The Origins and Development of Dispensationalism by Michael Williams, published by Christian Focus. It focuses especially on the popularizing of dispensational theology in the early 20th century with leaders such as C.I. Scofield and and Lewis Sperry Chafer
