I have just become our church librarian. Our church is very small, and the library is hardly ever used. We are moving into a new building soon, which will have a nice, big library that I can't wait to fill with great books! I have just received a laptop to catalog all the books, but I am at a loss as to a program that might help me in this. Are there any librarians here that might be able to suggest something to use?

Also, I would love to hear suggestions on some "must-have" books for a church library.

TIA

Danielle

software

Check out readerware from readerware.com. We've used it for years. It might be what you are looking for.

You may also

want to check out Collectorz.com's Book Collector or Book Collector Pro. They have a good program (I have an old version), and there's supposed to be an app that allows you to add books to the library using an Android or iOS smartphone - CLZ Barry is the name of the app.
