Promise Keepers’ Event to Feature Charlie Kirk & Dr. Phil

“Sure, celebrities can be a draw…But what happens when that celebrity that we’ve platformed and called people to follow lives in ways that contradict the teachings of Jesus?” - Roys Report

Discussion

I thought we definitively answered the quoted question in 2016, 2020, and soon to be 2024?

Politically: I have yet to find a perfect candidate. Have to decide what you are willing to tolerate among the choices you have and which teachings of Christ you want to focus on.

Theologically: Promise Keepers was compromised from its beginning. The organization is irrelevant.

The range of “not perfect” is huge (literally, everyone who has ever lived except Jesus Christ).

They should at least select “reasonably good.” This is not too much to ask.

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
