Christian Law Association—The SharperIron Interview | Part 2—Hovind, Ligonier, and Bob Gray

gibbs.jpgI recently had the privilege of interviewing David Gibbs III, attorney for the Christian Law Association (Seminole, FL). I conducted four interviews with Dr. Gibbs and Matt Davis, another attorney for the Gibbs Law Firm (Seminole, FL). The first two interviews are about the Terri Schiavo case; Dr. Gibbs was one of the lead attorneys on the case. We will air those interviews closer to the two-year anniversary of her death.

This interview details three recent legal issues: the Hovind case, the Ligonier case, and the Bob Gray case.

gibbs.jpgI recently had the privilege of interviewing David Gibbs III, attorney for the Christian Law Association (Seminole, FL). I conducted four interviews with Dr. Gibbs and Matt Davis, another attorney for the Gibbs Law Firm (Seminole, FL). This interview is actually the third one in the series. The first two interviews are about the Terry Schiavo case; Dr. Gibbs was one of the lead attorneys on the case. We will air those interviews closer to the two-year anniversary of her death. The fourth interview, which will air in two weeks, details three recent legal issues: the Hovind case, the Ligonier case, and the Bob Gray case.

gibbs_book.jpgThis interview covers the background of CLA and includes the personal testimony of both attorneys. I asked them several questions regarding law school, their philosophy of jurisprudence, and the state of American law.

Mark MinnickMALE SPEAKER: Welcome to the broadcast of SharperIron. This broadcast features news and ideas designed to convey a Christian worldview.

JASON: I get the idea, of listening to you preach, that you read books nonstop. Is that true?

MARK: Well, my family would probably say that.

[Laughter]

JASON: I guess, it’s, to me the, you know, I’ve heard you preach several times, and you reference a Puritan, maybe a personal illustration from their life. Is that like an instant recall thing with you? Or is that…

MARK: Boy, don’t I wish.

JASON: Or do you have an intricate filing system, or does that just happen to be the book that you’re reading as you’re preparing that sermon?

MARK: Yes, yes that’s, that’s a good question. Jason I, you know, I think, I think this would be true of a lot of men, that they just are voracious readers. Not true of everybody, but it’s true of a lot of fellows.
