I’m not a book snob, but I am really shocked by some of the women I know who are reading this stuff and think it is the best thing since the Twilight series.

Amen Susan. I told my wife I didn’t even want to know if any of our friends read the book.

I’ve been shocked too - at what a widespread following this book is getting. I can’t walk around in NYS without running into a book store or library or train/subway/bus ride that doesn’t have it present (and usually very prominently displayed). It’s a very popular seller on Amazon.com - I think I heard of it once when I clicked in the book section to look up something else.

Someone referred to it as Mommy Porn, and that sounds about right, based on the two reviews that were in the Filing link. Have to admit I didn’t ever expect to see this kind of stuff on the best seller list.

"Our task today is to tell people — who no longer know what sin is...no longer see themselves as sinners, and no longer have room for these categories — that Christ died for sins of which they do not think they’re guilty." - David Wells
