The World Is Catechizing Us Whether We Realize It or Not

Christianity vs Culture

“… David Well’s famous definition: worldliness is whatever makes righteousness look strange and sin look normal. Here’s the reality facing every Christian in the West: the money, power, and prestige of the mainstream media, big time sports, big business, big tech, and almost all the institutions of education and entertainment are invested in making sin look normal. ” - DeYoung

NewThe biggest threat . . .

Thu, 08/26/21

… is the one not being noticed. The reference to “mainstream media” and “big” etc., troubles me because the biggest threat conservative evangelicals are facing is the one they identify as “us.” … the right wing media, and most of our current allegedly-conservative politicians, and fellow anti-lefters (need to stop calling them conservatives) on social media.

So, the social-political left is taking the culture in a bad direction. So is the social-political right, for a while now.

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
