Reformed Baptist Academic Press: Another example of a contemporary author who argues for a change in God’s existence due to creation is K. Scott Oliphint. He contends “that God freely determined to take on attributes, characteristics, and properties that he did not have, and would not have, without creation.”

In the Reformed world, there has been a kerfluffle in recent years. First, there is the ESS madness. Now, we have accusations from men like James Dolezal that modern Reformed theologians are “changing” the nature of God, and abandoning the idea of divine simplicity. This brief missive appears to be in the same vein, a trumpet blast against a “slippery slope.”
This seems like more of an intramural, Reformed debate at the moment. I could be wrong. However, like the ESS issue, I think many people are really talking past one another.
