I remember him as the man who took over the leadership of the FBF after G. Archer Wenigar retired from the active ministry. He was the new blood the organization needed after the battles with the NBC and the civil war with the CBA.

Hoping to shed more light than heat..

I was saved under Dr. Bell’s ministry at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Va Beach, VA while serving in the US Navy in Norfolk, VA. TBC had a Christian Servicemen’s Center at the campus of the Church and it was there where I understood the Gospel and my need of Christ and was Saved on Nov. 7th, 1977. After my time in the Navy, I attended the Church’s Bible College and Graduated in 1988 (Dr. Ed Caughill was the Dean of the school). A ministry highlight for my family and I was to have Dr. Bell speak at our first Pastorate in Northern Wisconsin. I am personally thankful for his life and ministry and am glad our paths crossed.
