Gallup: 54% of Americans believe homosexuality is morally acceptable
These polls kill me. What about the polls they keep taking in the voting booth, where the numbers look substantially different than Gallup (and others) time after time.
We must remember that truth is not determined by a public opinion poll. The Word of God is absolute Truth, and may God be true and every man a liar. When my opinions conflict with clear Biblical statements and values, I am the one who needs to change.
Let us also remember that public opinion is often shaped by those who tell their message in the most persistent and compelling manner. Those who oppose God's standards have a very strong influence in this arena.
Let us also rememember that God calls us to be lights in a dark place. As our nation's moral and ethical values deteriorate, this is an opportunity for us to stand out for our Lord, showing grace and truth in our lives and words.
