The more things change, the more they stay the same.....

Both examples are simply "dog and pony shows"....the Church Growth Movement got its start in the 60's with the Independent Baptists that lead to 9 of the 10 largest churches in the 1970's being Ind. Baptist. Others adopted, refined and expanded the pragmatic philosophies and each generation has produced a correspondingly theologically confused wave of "decision makers" (as opposed to "converts").

OK - I have to ask - What was "Christian Life" Magazine?

OK

Do any of you know what "Christian Life" Magazine was. I noted the earlier post with Hyles "mug" plus a bus - of course - on the face of the magazine. Who published this - does anyone know?

Found this on Google..
http://www.assistnews.net/Stories/2008/s08030014.htm

I thought it was interesting .. as I googled I kept seeing "Christian Life" attached to Charisma Magazine and thought it might be a different "Christian Life" .. but after reading the article I don't think so ... It's about the founder/publisher of the magazine .. (basically his obit from 2008... )
