'Father' and 'Son' Ousted from the Trinity in Translation

And the new translation also reads baptismal regeneration into the new translation. Getting "cleanse them by water" out of "baptizo" is a remarkable feat.

Doc,

What have we come to within the bounds of Christendom? Where are you living/serving now?

It's just contextualization, isn't it?

Surely no one has a problem with contextualization? Wink

Just contextualization

I like your response. I have felt like a "lone wolf" saying for years that the very term was birthed by WCC leaders for purposes of advancing a theology that begins with the human situation rather than divine revelation. Numbers of evangelicals have adopted it, giving it their own definitions and usages. It has become a "rubber word" and one has to understand how each user is defining it. I still think it is best not used.

I now step down from my soapbox.
